President Donald Trump Strikes a Combative Tone in Fiery UN Speech
President Donald Trump strode into the 80th United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday with characteristic swagger — and wasted little time taking aim at the very institution he was addressing.
During a speech that stretched past the allotted time and veered repeatedly into personal grievances, Trump derided the UN headquarters, mocked its purpose, and cast doubt on climate change — calling it “the greatest con job ever perpetrated.”

Military Power and Venezuela
Trump boasted that the US military has begun destroying Venezuelan “terrorist boats,” vowing to “blow [them] out of existence.” Legal scholars have questioned whether these strikes have congressional authorization.
